Liposonix® Fat Reduction

For patients with stubborn fat around the waistline (the abdomen and love handles), Liposonix can help achieve a slimmer, trimmer look. Liposonix is a proven, unique, and effective aesthetic device that uses ultrasound technology to deliver Custom Contouring™ fat reduction. The ultrasound energy is focused on the subcutaneous fat layer beneath the skin, eliminating unwanted fat cells around the waist. This procedure can permanently destroy fat, creating a more slender, trimmer look. The result is real toning and smoothing—with an average of one inch (2.5 cm) circumferential waistline reduction—which typically translates to the loss of one dress or pant size.

Liposonix is effective for:

What Is Dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning is a form of deep skin exfoliation that offers the added benefit of removing the vellus hairs (“peach fuzz”) from your face. This treatment helps boost the process of cell regeneration—meaning that the body on its own is slower to shed skin cells and generate new ones.

When old skin cells build up on the surface of the skin, they can leave skin looking dull, rough, and dry. Layers of unexfoliated dead skin cells can also result in clogged pores, leading to blemishes and acne. Dermaplaning creates a smoother texture and a fresher appearance immediately after our licensed esthetician is done! Hair returns softly and will not become coarser as a result of the treatment. Finally, removing dead skin can help products penetrate the skin more efficiently.

How Often Should Dermaplaning Be Performed?

The skin growth cycle is around 30 days. Since dermaplaning removes around two to three weeks-worth of dead skin cells, it’s best to wait about three to four weeks between treatments.

Can Blading or Dermaplaning Be Performed in the Same Visit as Other Services?

Receiving a chemical peel, a facial, or other treatments immediately after dermaplaning is an excellent way to ensure that the peel and other products penetrate deeper and more evenly. Lactic acid peels will hydrate and further exfoliate dry and normal skin while glycolic acid peels are strong enough to combine with dermaplaning for oily skin.

What Skin Types/Conditions Can Be Treated with Dermaplaning?

The only type of skin that probably shouldn’t be treated with dermaplaning is acne-prone skin. The oil from the sebaceous glands needs to travel up and connect with the vellus hair in order for it to be excreted. If the hair is removed and the oil builds up, the glands are obstructed, and this may cause more breakouts.
